With the recent release of the new 2011 Ford Explorer, members of the media drove the Explorer in snow filled Quebec. The all-new Ford Explorer offers an advanced terrain management system by optimizing powertrain behavior for specific situations and road conditions. In this case we tested the terrain management system in tough snow conditions, and it handled icy corners at 90 km/h. The Explorer 3.5-litre V6 is offered as standard equipment across base, XLT and Limited models. Delivering 11.9 L / 100 km in the city and 8.0 L / 100 km on the highway.
