Consider These Things Before Using Car Vacuum Cleaners

Posted by Wheels On Edge about 6 months ago

So you just got yourself a car vacuum, but are you 100% sure that you know how to use it? I mean sure, you can follow the complicated vacuum instruction if you want or you can read this easy simple guide that will give you all the information you need.

    1. Once is not enough
Most car vacuums require at least a few passes so do not expect your car map to be spotless with just one pass. Pass your vacuum over and over until you cannot see any spot. Of course, best car vacuum tend to require fewer passes, which is something you should keep in mind while buying.
Especially if you are a pet owner, it is going to take multiple times for your machine to pull up all the dust and hair on the carpet. Even if you do not own a pet, it is still a wise move to go over a spot from different directions. This creates a crisscross pattern, which cleans more effectively.

    2. Create schedule
Some people actually do not have this habit; however, it is something that you should do in order to optimize your time and energy. Following a specific schedule will ensure that your car is always clean and in good condition. Most people tend to vacuum their cars once a month. However, I think that vacuuming your car at least once every two weeks is the best option. This way you will be able to keep your car at best condition.

    3. Choose the right setting
Many car vacuums actually offer more than two setting options, so it is up to you to pick the best setting option for your car. If you are in for some heavy cleaning, feel free to set it to maximum performance. Though this may waste much more energy, especially if you are using a handheld vacuum. But, do not hesitate to use medium to light performance.

    4. Choose the right suction
Sometimes, there will be places and spots in your car that is quite impossible to reach, which is why you need to choose the right extension tool. Whether it is between your car seats or under your car cushions, make sure that you have the best suction.

    5. Liquid does not go well with car vacuums
As can be said, not everything can be cleaned by car vacuums. In this case, liquid. Though some car vacuums actually feature water suction. It is not advisable to use your vacuum to clean liquid. This can lower the usage of your device, as well as, damaging the inside of your vacuum. For instance, the main board or some terminals may be damaged.

    6. Charge your vacuum
It is always safe to keep your car vacuum charged, even if you do not use it frequently. Especially with handheld vacuums, you never know when you are going to use it. So, it is best to keep it full and always ready to do some action. Plus, this helps maintain your car vacuum.

    7.  Empty the filter regularly
Here is another cleaning tip for you, clean the filter or empty it frequently. This will definitely affect the total performance of your machine. Of course, it depends on the type of vacuum you are using. For instance, with bagless vacuums, you do not have to empty their filter bags as often as bagged vacuums.

    9. Check the warranty time
Most car vacuums have a warranty of at least one year, though some manufacturers do offer more than two or even three years. What should you can do is to check the warranty time carefully. Just in case if your vacuum malfunctions, the manufacturers can cover the fees for you.

Alright, that’s my tips on how to use your car vacuum cleaners. I hope you find it useful and informative. Remember that these are just my tips. They come from my personal experiences, so it is understandable if you disagree with me on some aspects. Like always, stay tuned my readers, and see you next time.
