Unusual Ways Your Car Can Make You Money

Posted by Ben Davidson about 5 months ago
We all know that driving for a company like Uber or Lyft can make you a little money on the side, but what other ways are there to make a bit of cash from your car? After all, you’ve probably spent a lot of money paying off the loan and running your vehicle, so why not make a bit of extra money to offset those costs? In this article, we’ve put together a bunch of different ways that you can turn your car into an unusual money-making opportunity.
Renting Your Car

Not feeling like using your car? Perhaps you simply want to save a bit on travel costs by biking or walking to work instead. Either way, if you’re not using your vehicle you can rent it out to people. It’s a fantastic opportunity if you have multiple vehicles as well and you’ll earn quite a lot of money from just having a car and not doing anything with it. People often find it difficult to trust strangers in their car, which is why it’s better to rely on a middleman service for renting out your car. You might not make as much money with fees in the way, but it’s far safer.

Car Title Loans

If you’ve ever needed to get a loan but find it difficult, then you may be eligible for a car title loan. Companies like I Need Cash Now offer great deals for car title loans that could pay for emergencies. Title loans are based on your credit history, financial situation and also the value of your car. Your car acts as collateral which means if you don’t manage to pay back the loan, you will lose your vehicle, so only resort to this option if you’re in desperate need of cash for something.

Adverts on Your Car

You might not enjoy the idea of wrapping your car in advertisements, but it’s a great (albeit shameless) way of making a bit of extra cash. How much you’re paid will depend on how much you drive, but it’s a fantastic way to earn some extra money if you drive around a lot. You can usually choose what ads to place on your car and you’ll also need to behave properly behind the car. You’re essentially advertising a company, so if people see you driving like a lunatic while representing a company, they’ll likely kick you out and stop paying you. You can’t make too much doing this, but it’s enough to help pay for fuel costs.

Rent Parking Space

Car ownership without a dedicated parking space is troublesome. However, if you have extra space out in your driveway or even in your garage, then you can rent it out to other unfortunate people that don’t have the luxury of owning their own parking spot. This is especially useful for people that travel around on a regular basis. How much you can charge depends on local factors, but it’s a great way to make a bit of extra money.
