3 Car Mods You Should Make And 2 You Definitely Shouldn't

Posted by Ben Davidson about 5 months ago
If you have some spare cash clogging up your piggy-bank, you might want to think about spending it on car modifications. These can be fun, exciting ways to give your car a little more oomph and energy, as well as improving the overall aesthetic of your vehicle. But there are also a couple of mods that just aren’t worth the money and that you should avoid.

    Get A Car Wrap

You may want to think about getting a car wrap for your vehicle. This a fantastic way to give it a unique design that really stands out. Car wraps aren’t all that expensive either, and they can be completely custom designed to look exactly like you want them to. If you check out a vehicle wrap gallery, you will see an eclectic selection of different styles and choices, depicting how varied your options here truly are.

    Treat Yourself With Racing Seats

What about the right seats for your ride? Racing seats are a great option because they are designed to be ultra comfortable, and that’s perfect if you are going to be taking long journeys in your vehicle. Or, if you’re just driving to work each morning. Racing seats can be expensive, but you could consider them worth the cost because they make your vehicle a far better place to be. As well as this, they are also aesthetically pleasing with cool contemporary designs.

You Could Do With A Car Cam

Okay, it’s not the most exciting upgrade in the world, but if you don’t have one, you should definitely consider getting a back car cam for your vehicle. This will allow you to keep a watchful eye on the vehicles behind you that might just get involved in a collision with your car. If that does happen, it’s always best to know that you have footage which proves conclusively that it wasn’t your fault.

    And...

    Don’t Bother With The Spoiler

You might think that adding a spoiler to your car is a great idea, but it isn’t. First of all, it’s important to realise that not all car designs suit a spoiler and if yours didn’t come with one then it probably won’t. It’s as simple and somewhat annoying as that. It will also most likely be fairly useless because spoilers are used to channel air around your car pushing it to the ground, so it doesn’t take off at fast speeds, typically exceeding 100MPH. The average person will very rarely travel at this speed, so spoilers are somewhat redundant and quite expensive.

    It’s Low Enough!

Last but not least, you need to think about whether you really want to lower your car. It’s a popular option, particularly with young drivers, but it’s not a particularly good one, and it will most likely make speed bumps an absolute nightmare. If you lower it too much, you’ll find one wrong judgement call completely totals the underside of your vehicle. That’s why if you are playing with the height of your suspension you should, at the very least, get the professional treatment.

You can see some great fails on lowered cars in the video below:
