2013 MazdaSpeed3 Review - Video test Drive Posted by (2:13) By: JDs Drive Uploaded 8 years ago 5886 Views 5886 Views Share Description In this video review I talk about a great little performer, the 2013 MazdaSpeed3. This car is for driving enthusiasts who like fast, responsive small cars but don't want to fork over $50 000. Under the hood is the big story, it is powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder 263 horsepower engine and 280 foot pounds of torque. This is s front wheel drive car. When you're punching through the gears it suffers from torque steer and can actually get you into some trouble while passing or going around a bumpy corner. But once you're at cruising speed it feels like your in a regular Mazda3. New to the MazdaSpeed3 for 2013 can be found in the interior with the Technology package. Features include the Push-button ignition, 8-way adjustable power driver seat, SIRIUS satellite radio, and a Tom Tom NAVI, this package costs $2640 which brings the price up to $32 635. There is a lot of competition in the sportcar category under $40 000, such as the Subaru BRZ, Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and Ford Focus ST. I have driven them all and they're all great performers. It just comes down to which one you like, but I would suggest putting this MazdaSpeed3 on your list.
